Privacy Notice

Privacy issues are very important to us, given the current regulatory and technical environment and we are commited to protecting your privacy.

Use of Personal Data
When opening an Account and placing an order with us we need to know your name, e-mail address and postal address(s). We use this information in order to process and run your Account. We also ask you for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently in the event of there being a problem or query with your order or Account.
We forward you to the Paypal website to make payment, sending them your name, e-mail address, postal address(s) and details of the order. They notify us when payment has been made, but they do not divulge to us any of your payment details such as Debit/Credit card numbers.
We do not disclose your information to other parties, except of course, the name and address for shipping.
It is not our policy to use your email address for any purpose, other than to notify you of the progress of your order.

Protection of Personal Data
We have taken every possible precaution to create a secure environment to protect the personal information supplied by you to us when making an order or opening an Account. Websites are subject to continous attack by those seeking to access personal data and to use the website to propagate Viruses and Spyware. There are a number of ways that this is done.
The first and most obvious way to access a website is with passwords. To protect your personal data you need to make sure that the password is unique. Do not be tempted to use the same password for many sites. If one site is compromised, then that password could be used to access those sites. Never use a password for your Banking that you have used elsewhere! We seek to minimise the impact of your password being compromised elsewhere by not having debit/credit card data on our site.
When you connect to our website, PCHelp will send a cookie to your browser that contains a unique number called a session. This enables us to be sure that we are talking to the same person. It is possible to send this session as a part of the web address (URL), but this could be hijacked. We therefore need you to accept cookies. If cookies are disabled on your browser then you will be directed to a page telling you how to turn them on. Cookies have been given a bad name over the years but, rest assured, we use them only to ensure your security.

PCHelp`s website security is independently checked on a regular basis under a scheme called "PCI DSS Compliance".
